Lectures 2019: 14 Filling Empty spots

Some TIling Troubles

Some TIling Troubles

As the symmetry of the rosette changes, the issue that arise in the tilings change. A 14 point rosette sits in a 14 sided polygon. When that polygon is tiled edge to edge, some substantial gaps remain. In the 12 point symmetry rosette in the center the gaps are easy to fill with simple extensions of the pattern lines. In this case, a bit more work is required, and the first artistic judgement decision for this series arises.
