My First Apprentice

DSC01852-41-Crop.gif

My adventure in studying the art of Islamic geometric pattern was specifically intended as a basis for making patterns in wood. This pattern from the mosque at Cordoba is one of my favorites and one of the first patterns I made. In 2015 a friend’s daughter asked if she could come to my shop and make one. She had no wood working experience and no experience with pattern. The results speak for themselves. I will load the story of her adventure here soon.
